Thursday, 10 March 2011 19:44

Well, the time has arrived for us to unveil the list of great speakers for CarolinaCon Seven. It was a very tough series of decisions this year to select the following speakers out of the plethora of talk submissions that we received.

In many cases, there were only a few staff votes separating those who were chosen with those who were not. We invite those speakers who were not chosen to still attend the conference and we are very grateful that they took time to send in a submission.

  • Gerry Brunelle - Dissecting the Hack: Malware Analysis 101
  • G. Mark Hardy - Tales from the Crypto
  • Deral Heiland - If you Own a Multi-Function Printer then I Own You
  • Chris Teodorski - Fun with SSH Honeypotting
  • Lisa Lorenzin - Security Lessons from Cracking Enigma
  • Thomas Holt - Do Personality Traits Increase the Likelihood that You will Hack?
  • Dr. Tran - How to Own and Protect Your Office Space
  • Omar Santos - Current and Future Trends in Cybercrime and Exploitation
  • mjg - Yara and Python: The Malware Detection Dynamic Duo
  • Branson Matheson - TTL of a Penetration
  • Nick Fury - Serial Killers: USB as an Attack Vector
  • Justin Troutman - Mackerel: A Progressive School of Cryptographic Thought

  • purehate - Why your Password Policy Sucks
  • ronin - Hack from a Library with Katana
  • Adam Drew - Music and Audio Production with FOSS
  • Jordan Sissel - logstash: Open Source Log and Event Management
Also, if your talk was not chosen, please keep an eye on your inbox. In the event that any of the submitters has scheduling changes between the time of their submission and now, we will ask runners-up if they will graciously step in with their submission(s).
